Machinery decals and equipment branding – why is this important for industrial rental companies?
The importance of brand recognition through the use of industrial decals.
For plant, equipment and vehicle hire companies, the visual representation of their business – through the use of decals – plays a key role in brand recognition and understanding.
A logo and attractive, high impact visual styling on a vehicle or item of machinery is a ‘stamp’ that links the hired equipment back to the rental company. It can be a demonstration of quality and credibility – especially when used in conjunction with OEMs’ branding – and help a business stand out against its competitors. It also shows, on a daily basis, how the industrial rental company is supporting its customers with the solutions they need.
In areas such as construction, logistics and road building, vehicles and equipment which are on hire can be very visible to the public (and prospective customers): decals can therefore be a method of spreading market awareness and reinforcing brand profile.
And through the use of machinery decals, equipment users will have a daily reminder of who their supplier is and who to contact if they need additional support.
As well as vinyl logo stickers and other branded decals, industrial rental companies may also need decals which display health and safety information and instructions.
Machinery decals need to be robust and reliable…
Plant and vehicles – such as construction machinery – are often exposed to tough environmental conditions. They need to operate in very low or very high temperatures, and withstand high winds, rain, sleet, ice and snow.
Machinery decals need to withstand these conditions too. The quality and visibility of machine decals can deteriorate due to challenging conditions, or simply through long-term outdoor use. Company branding on plant and vehicles can therefore start to look shabby and worn, creating a poor impression of a company, or decals could peel off altogether. If this happens, the decals will need to be replaced, ramping up costs for rental companies. In addition, if critical safety information is obscured or is missing from decals due to their poor condition, the safety of operators can be put at risk.
At Gate 7, we recognise and understand the impact of environmental conditions on machinery decals and equipment branding. That’s why the substrates used in our industrial decals have undergone rigorous testing to relevant American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and ASTM International standards. We can also provide PPAP documentation which means you can be confident in the quality and longevity of our decals.
Gate 7’s decal materials offer superior chemical, UV and abrasion resistance, and we strive for a minimum of a five to seven-year life span for all of our decal solutions. Plant and vehicle hire companies need industrial decals that they can rely on and are cost-effective in the long-term and that’s where our product development team comes in.
Our products can be created on a wide variety of base materials, including self-adhesive vinyl, polyester, polycarbonate and polypropylene. We can also provide printed stainless steel and anodised aluminium.
In addition, our Superior Engineered Vinyl range , the SEV series, features rigorously tested component parts that when combined, exceed market demand in quality and performance.
