Gate 7 open new state of the art facility in Pennsylvania USA.




The new purpose built factory for Gate 7 LLC in Greencastle Pennsylvania was formally opened. The ceremony was officiated by Mike Ross, President of the Franklin County Development Corporation,with Gate 7 President Keith Wickham cutting the ribbon. Joel Fridgen, Executive Director of the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce opened the proceedings with a prayer, and speeches in support included Fred Young, Chairman of the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors, Mayor Eberly of Greencastle was also present.

Gate 7 are calling the new building ‘Jeremiah Dixon House' to commemorate the 250th anniversary since Jeremiah commenced the laying of the nearby Mason-Dixon line. Englishman Jeremiah lived in the locality of North East England, the home base of Gate 7.

The new building leaves Gate 7 poised for significant growth in North America, the company now being ready for any demands from its recovering market base in Construction Equipment. The factory is equipped with the latest production machinery and employee levels are expected to rise to meet the increasing work demands. Air conditioning and controlled heating environments are expected to stabilize production conditions as well as creating a pleasant and safe working environment.

Outside the building is a unique ‘objet de l'art industrielle' which features the boom of a crane specially adapted by long standing customer Grove-Manitowoc.

John Reay, Senior Vice President of Gate 7 in his speech thanked all involved for the speedy and trouble free building project, with particular thanks to LCSi, the main contractor.
